THE SUN IS A STAR
The first show of my next progressive exhibition titled: The Dance of the Dandelion
Showcasing the life cycle of a dandelion told through the journey of a single seed. Seeking its tantric flow, this cypsela will embrace the seasons of life. Tapping into its celestial pull, forming a pathway towards peace. Exhibition will explore 26 different mediums inspired by the alphabet, ending in a live dance performance. Interweaving the exploration of it all.
Find the Sun is Star. A well balanced beginning meal to the new year.
The Dance of the Dandelion
Chapter 1
We find her, falling to a destined bed of soil. Forehead to the earth, she is held by a blanket of nourishment. Sown with intention she contemplates her transition from air to earth. Under the stars she finds belonging within herself and prepares for the journey.
Begin in Balasana, Child's Pose

I spy, with my lil eye, somethin...
I spent this last week studying anthotypes! An alternative photography method which uses photosensitive plants to harness the power of the sun. This week I made ink with TURMERIC. One of many light sensitive plants!

amber is...fossilized tree resin ;) she's also a mixed media artist who enjoys play :) her background in ecology and botany continues to inspire her to explore the relationships between. Her work taps into many mediums as she continue to express herself as she adds entries to her scrapbook of life. she's evenly torn between wild and urban spaces, finding them both so intricately fascinating. she's so grateful to exist as an animal that can toggle between.
her work is a time capsule of her experiences being alive. she hopes that her silly anecdotes bring a smile. this here is her digital journal, play around! |
