CLASS INFORMATION:
THURSDAYS 5:30-8pm March 12 - July 18 Cost of workshop: $100-$300 (sliding scale) Funds cover instructor hours, field trips, and materials. To register please fill out form and submit payment. Introducing ENLIGHTEN ME ! A 4 month progressive sculptural lamp making class to raise money for the Free Cycles Forever Campaign.
Led by creative duo, Brimber & Tyler, this class will provide an opportunity to see scraps in a different way! Think project runway meets sculptural lamps. Starting from upcycled bike parts we'll gather inspiration, develop artistic intent, forage materials, and put together a total of 30 lamps to find forever homes in a live auction happening prior to Free Cycles 30th anniversary this July 2026. This 4 month guided class will be an all inclusive experience. Students will be asked to make a set of 3 lamps, one hanging, standing, and one desk lamp. We'll offer workshops on electrical wiring, paper making, brazing, sculpture building, & pro tinkering. This class will take students on a variety of field trips and host a handful of guest speakers to bring in more shared skills. |
